The basic aim of Model Indian Parliament Session (MIPS) is to make the youth understand the parliamentary procedures. The decisions of the Parliament are important since they affect the whole country. In this time when the country stands with a commoner Anna Hazare to fight against corruption, this shows the increasing interest of today’s youth in politics. By holding a mock parliamentary session we are enabling them to gain more knowledge of the system and training the youth for their roles as citizens in a democratic society. Thus to make the youth competent enough to consider public issues and also form their opinion judicially. The concept is to have a mock parliamentary session based on the rules and mannerisms on which the actual session is conducted. Giving a chance to future's young leaders to present their views on steps to be taken for the welfare of the country and how to work towards achieving the dream nation of India.
